We are looking for a caregiver for an 89-year-old senior woman (height 158 cm, weight 52 kg), who is currently recovering from a stroke. She has left-side paralysis, is weakened, and will be returning home from rehabilitation on 17.12. She is fully dependent on assistance for dressing, hygiene, and toileting. She requires help with transfers, uses a wheelchair, and has a hospital bed and commode chair ordered. She can eat by herself, but the food needs to be cut. During the night, she needs assistance 1–2 times for toileting. She has weaker orientation but is aware and can use her right hand. Living situation and scope of care: The lady lives alone in a ground-floor apartment. The household needs to be managed completely – cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and general household maintenance. Walks are not possible. Lifting and medium-intensity physical assistance are part of the job. Her brother lives nearby. Caregiver duties: Care includes assistance with all-day personal hygiene, dressing, serving meals (cutting), transfers with the wheelchair, administering medication as per PD preparation, night assistance as needed, as well as managing the entire household – cooking, shopping, laundry, and cleaning. Accommodation: The caregiver has a separate room available in the senior's apartment. The bathroom is shared. Internet is available. Time off is by agreement. A car with a manual transmission is available.

Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.
